Lead Pastor, Mark McDonald

Hi! I’m Mark McDonald and I am blessed to be the pastor of Entiat Friends Church since July, 2017. I’m somewhat of a prodigal, as I grew up in Quincy, Washington, less than a 90 minute drive southeast of Entiat, but spent the first 38 years of my ministry pastoring Friends churches in midwestern states before returning back home to the Pacific Northwest! 

I’m a George Fox University and also a Western Evangelical Seminary (currently Portland Seminary) graduate. My favorite thing about preaching is helping to bring the Bible to life for my listeners.  My delightful daughter Linda, graduated in 2022 from George Fox University with a degree in illustration and graphic arts.

My interests include hiking and birdwatching, reading, and conversations over cups of coffee. My long suffering congregation also knows I am a big Peanuts fan and they put up with my many Snoopy ties!
